Jehovah’s Witnesses vs. Christianity
The Jehovah’s Witness people are some of the most devout people you will ever meet. Sadly, they do what they do with such zeal not out of the love of God, but out of fear. But that will be covered later.
The problem is with the Jehovah’s Witness religion. They do not believe in the Trinity[1]
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:58-59 KJV)
The New World Translation
I have struck this from the post pending further investigation. Charles Taze Russell may not have been personally involved in making the “New World Translation”. But whoever translated the Bible to make it conform to the Jehovah’s Witness theology is probably going to be in big trouble come judgement day.
Jehovah’s Witnesses are required to save themselves
Though Christians believe that it is impossible to save ourselves – Salvation is a gift from God, the Jehovah’s Witnesses have a complex, impossible, and completely unscriptural belief about how to get to Heaven.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses have a caste system. 144,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses will be the “Ruling Class” Then there is the “Earthly Class” – everyone else who manages to save themselves. [3]

It is not Jehovah’s Witnesses vs Christianity as Jehovah’s Witnesses are Christians.
“The problem is with the Jehovah’s Witness faith. ”
No that is not a problem, we have great faith.
“They do not believe in the Trinity”
Of course, it is not biblical. If three is good for God, why not 4, 5, 7,10,12 ore more? Why stop at a triune?
The most logical would be a singular God.
Jesus did not claim equality with God. He said that the father is greater than he is and that he is God’s son.
In John 8:58 Jesus does not call himself “I am”. Jesus spoke Greek and not English. The Greek does not match up with Exodus 3:14.
“The founder of the Jehovah’s witnesses, Charles Taze Russell[2], deliberately mistranslated the Bible to make it say what he wanted it to say.”
Charles Russell was not the founder of JWs. He was the founder of the Watchtower Society which is the printing company he used.
Charles Russell did not translate a Bible.
Revelation does not say that the 144,000 are Jewish. It says that they are from 12 tribes.
Thus you misrepresent the truth and JWs.

Thanks for your comment, Steve.
I used to be a Jehovah’s Witness. I know about your faith. And devotion. I do not misrepresent them. God bless each and every one of you.
The word “faith” is also used to denote denomination etc. “Jewish faith, buddhist faith” and so on.. I’m sure you’ve heard the term before. I will correct my language, to say the problem is with the Jehovah’s Witness religion.
Jesus claimed equality with God and it almost got him stoned to death – except it wasn’t His time. The Holy Spirit has also been equated with God. We are made in God’s image. We have body soul and spirit the same as God – of course that is highly oversimplified.
Other than the fact that Hebrew and Greek are two different languages, how can you possibly say that Jesus is not claiming to be the Great I AM?
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Paul says that Jesus is equal to God:
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped…
Phillipians 2:5-6
The Holy Spirit is God.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)
He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 4:8)
Clearly God is Triune.
I am going to strike the statement about Charles Taze Russell and perjury. But I will say that whoever it was that willfully and knowingly mistranslated the Bible to make it conform to JW theology will probably have a few uncomfortable questions to answer on judgment day. Millions of souls are effected by the New World translation and it is heresy.
And you know as well as I do that the Watchtower Society spawned the modern day Jehovahs Witnesses. That is just semantics.
The 144,000 are most certainly Jewish. It is talking about the tribes of Isreal… It even lists the tribes they come from. Read it for yourself.

Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.
From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben 12,000, from the tribe of Gad 12,000, from the tribe of Asher 12,000, from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000, from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000, from the tribe of Simeon 12,000, from the tribe of Levi 12,000, from the tribe of Issachar 12,000, from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000, from the tribe of Joseph 12,000, from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.
